Death to Barney and Another Tattoo

Saturday, October 14th, 2006

I’ve been thinking about getting another tattoo, except I don’t know where to put it. I’d *like* to put it on my ankle, but if I ever get a 9-5 job, I’d never be able to wear a skirt. (One would think this is incentive, lol.) The other option is on my shoulder blade, but again, if I ever get a 9-5 I wouldn’t be able to wear sleeveless blouses. As 90% of all my clothes have no sleeves, this would probably be a bad thing. :D

In any case, drew a little something for CGTalk’s Daily Sketch
Challenge. The theme was "The Kid You Don’t Want To Give Candy To"
(during Halloween).

I swear to God, if a kid wearing this costume ever
comes to my door on the 31st, she’s not getting a goddamned thing.

Talking, Walking Lightbulbs and their Deep, Dark Emotions. (aka Lizz’s Thesis)

My thesis pre-deliberations are tomorrow, and I can’t help but feel /slightly/ nervous about it. After all, I’m about to present the fruits of several months of my labor to both peers and my adviser and, of course, that always merits the fear of being thrown bits of fruit at.

This is only the research paper prior the actual thesis (that’s done during the 2nd sem), but this is the first building block of everything. If it fails to live up to expectations, I’ll have to go back to the drawing board for second semester. *insert fear/fear/doubt/fear here* :)

In any case, doing stop motion was fun. I have grand plans of usurping Tim Burton’s crown as the king of modern Stop Motion, but for now my lightbulb head people will do:

Thesis1_1In other news, I finished cutting and editing our final Japanese 10 requirement last Friday. We just have to present the video (which has us traipsing around like morons and lip synching to L’Arc En Ciel, thank you very much) on Monday, and then I’m all done.

It was a hell of a semester because God knows I have no ear for any language aside from English. I already signed up for Japanese 11 in preparation for my scholarship to Japan next year, so hopefully this means I won’t be wandering around like an idiot too much when I get there. I had this horrible dream of landing at the Narita airport and no one coming to greet me, so I ended up getting hopelessly lost.

*ahem* Anyway, I can actually read Hiragana and Katakana (and a little kanji) now, so hopefully this will mean that I can find my way to my host school at least.
